Ever had a warm banana dessert? Then I’m sure you’d like a banana boat for breakfast too. They are also delicious when using marshmallows and throwing them on the BBQ for dessert.
BANANA BOAT.
1 banana
2 tbsp heaped greek yogurt
10gr Lindt chocolate 85%
1 tbsp sliced almonds
piece of foil
FRUIT TOPPINGS – berries are my all-time favourite.
CEREAL TOPPINGS – I used Barbara’s Morning Oat Crunch Original that are puffins that I crunched into smaller pieces and sprinkled over the banana. You can use any cereal topping to your liking.
Pre-heat oven to 200C degrees (convection oven – fan). Cut your banana lengthwise and fill with greek yoghurt. Chop chocolate in small chunks and top the banana together with the almonds. Wrap your banana carefully in a piece of foil and make sure it stays on its back. Put in the oven for 8-10 minutes or until the skin is a bit blackened and the filling is warm and the chocolate melting.
note: I saved a few small chunks of chocolate to sprinkle over the banana right before serving.
Enjoy! xoSam
